TITLE: IMPLICATIONS OF SOCIAL NETWORKING SITES (SNSs) AS A TOOL FOR LIBRARY SERVICES
ABSTRACT: Internet and mobile technology are playing a very vital role in day to day affairs of human life. The technology has completely changed the traditional library into a digital library. Social Networking Sites (SNSs) helps the library system to improve the performance in propagation of information and are becoming an significant instrument for increasing the educational domain. Due to which, contribution of SNSs has also significantly inflated the relationship between different stakeholders of libraries. Keeping this idea in mind, the present work is an attempt to study and analyze the usage of Social Networking Sites as a tool for the library services. This present research is based on primary data which have been gathered from various under graduate students of Kurukshetra district of Haryana. Study confirms that social networking sites (SNSs) are very effective tool for library services in the recent time.
