TITLE:AN ANALYTICAL STUDY OF THE READING BEHAVIOUR OF STUDENTS IN THE DIGITAL ERA AMONG STUDENTS OF MADHABDEV UNIVERSITY
ABSTRACT: The act of reading has been a fundamental component of intellectual development for centuries. In the rapidly evolving landscape of Education and Technology, the way students engage with reading has undergone a profound transformation. The digital era has brought about an abundance of reading options like e-books and online magazines, articles multimedia presentations through social media, discussion tools, and collaborative forums which help students easily access the information which they need. These technological advancements not only expanded the possibilities of reading but also created challenges for the students. There are various types of digital platforms for reading but sometimes they distract the student’s mind from the study So, in this research paper we will explore those factors and try to investigate the preferences of students towards printed or digital and the factors influencing their choices. We also examine the time spent on readings, the role of digital distraction etc.
This paper also aims to provide an understanding of how students behave towards digital content whether they are benefited or not. And the implications of their reading behaviour on their academic pursuits. The digital era promotes more effective and meaningful learning experiences.
