TITLE: DIGITAL LIBRARY:  ISSUES CHALLENGES AND PROSPECTS

ABSTRACT: The digital format of data has been made easier to convert by new technologies. In recent years, information has been produced digitally, and libraries have grown to be important sources of both new and modified versions of many classic features and standards. The role that global libraries play in providing their users with information services has changed dramatically as a result of the quick advancements in information processing, storage, and communication technologies. Libraries are the repositories of age-old wisdom preserved in the form of recoreded data for future study and societal advancement. Because of this, libraries now have to deal with a range of user-tailored information services, as well as new competitors, demands, and expectations. Digital libraries may provide a range of services facilitating search, access, and collaboration in addition to providing direct access to the content of a vast array of intellectual works, including text, audio, video, and data.
