TITLE : A STUDY OF THE ROLE OF DISTANCE EDUCATION IN EMPOWERMENT OF WOMEN IN DISTRICT KURUKSHETRA
ABSTRACT: Distance education is a new trend, which is resulted in the advances in communication and information technology. Speaking of education of the future Distance Education is going to be number are amongst the great world industries, it is a process of extending learning by connecting students with distributed learning resources. The women Empowerment frame work reconceptualizes the development objectives of gender responsive programming. Rather than focusing on economic objectives such as enabling women to be more productive or use their labour time more effectively in order to reap the benefits of development, it views women’s equality and women’s empowerment as central development objectives in their own rights. Women’s empowerment is an important consideration in activities targeted at worldwide development. In microfinance, gender equality and women’s empowerment are also seen as a priority nowadays. However, the concept is a difficult one that can vary geographically, between stakeholders and in time.
