TITLE: CYBERCRIME: A THREAT TO SOCIETY AND PRECAUTIONARY MEASURES
ABSTRACT: Communication in the world has progressed, particularly since the internet was created. The rise of cybercrime, sometimes known as e-crimes, or electronic crimes, is a major problem for modern civilization. As a result, e-crimes are a global threat to people, companies, and nations. Millions of people worldwide are victims of e-crimes, which have become more commonplace. Given the gravity of e-crimes, their global scope, and their ramifications, it is obvious that, in order to combat them successfully, there is a critical need for a shared understanding of this type of criminal conduct on a global scale. The definitions, forms, and intrusions of e-crimes are covered in this chapter. It has also emphasized the various nations’ anti-crime legislation, Cybersecurity, and techniques for searching.
