TITLE : USE OF ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE IN LIBRARIES, EDUCATION & RESEARCH

ABSTRACT: The integration of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in libraries is reshaping educational and research environments by enhancing operational efficiency and user experience. AI facilitates personalized user assistance, streamlines resource management, and supports digital services such as content curation and data retrieval. In research contexts, AI contributes to data analysis, predictive modeling, and the design of curricula. AI also aids in optimizing collection development and improving accessibility for diverse user groups. Despite its potential, challenges such as algorithmic bias, privacy concerns, and ethical issues remain prevalent. Moreover, AI-driven tools for digitization and translation offer opportunities to increase global accessibility and promote inclusivity. Librarians play a critical role in ensuring the ethical and responsible implementation of AI technologies. The continued evolution of AI in libraries promises to transform academic research methodologies and improve access to scholarly resources. Further research is needed to address the challenges and maximize AI’s benefits in library services. Ultimately, AI holds the potential to redefine the future of library systems and scholarly communication.
